Millets, the forgotten food. Once the most widely consumed food item in the Indian subcontinent, this super food has undergone a consumption recession. People abstain from consuming millets, citing that they are an undesirable food. Truth be told, millets are some of the most amazing foods out there! They grow very easily, do not require too much water and can grow just from the water supplied by rains even in arid regions.It is also so simple to create amazing, scrumptious and super healthy recipes out of millets. Millet Mantra aims to spread the message of cooking and consuming millets at home by uploading amazing, easy to cook recipes created by our in house maestro, 14 year old host and chef Arka Pudota. He also aims to support farmers who are growing millets by attempting to increase demand for millets and increase consumption all over India.
