MilTech operates as a Partnership Intermediary between Montana State University and the U.S. Department of Defense and the Department of Homeland Security, facilitating the delivery of critical technologies across a wide range of defense and national security domains. CORE COMPETENCIES - Information Research & Analysis and Technology Scouting - Product Design Support, including Design Review and Evaluation Samples - Manufacturing Expertise, with a focus on Process Improvement and Process Management Located in Bozeman Montana, MilTech collaborates with a diverse network of industry partners, technology vendors, subject matter experts, and key U.S. government agencies, including the Department of Defense and the Department of Homeland Security. MilTech has been involved in more than 600 defense projects, driving improvements in product development, manufacturability, commercialization and sustainment. WORK WITH MILTECH MilTech serves as an honest broker, partnering with trusted vendors to support critical needs of our government customers. Under our Partnership Intermediary Agreements, MilTech receives government funding that allows us to contract for services and supplies with industry, other state agencies, and NIST Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) Program Centers. CONNECTING GOVERNMENT NEEDS WITH TECHNOLOGY VENDORS MilTech’s Virtual Industry Day (VID) platform allows all government agencies to find and vet potential technology solutions. - For Technology Vendors: VID features a simple, accessible submission process, making it easy for small businesses and nontraditional vendors to share their technology solutions with government decision-makers. - For Government Buyers: VID offers a centralized platform to search, view, and evaluate technology submissions.
