At the heart of Castel Mimi is our historic winery, located in the only authentic castle in Moldova. Founded in 1893, we are proud to be one of the top wine producers and tourist destinations in the country, and to be listed among the top 15 most beautiful wineries in the world.
As a family-owned winery, we produce award-winning wines that reflect a legacy of tradition, innovation, and the unique character of our vineyards. Our wines are exported to 17 countries, and our collection has earned over 65 national and international awards. Among them, the Cabernet Sauvignon 2012 Reserve was named the best Moldovan wine by Raimonds Tomsons, Europe’s No.1 and the world’s No.3 sommelier.
Beyond wine, Castel Mimi is also home to the Castel Mimi Distillery, where we craft our premium divin under the Cuza Vodă brand, as well as Licoare Domnească – a line of traditional Moldovan liqueurs made using time-honored local recipes.
