Imagine a world where every young person is emotionally resilient and free from depression. At the Center for Healthy Mind and Mood, this is our north star. Our mission is to promote healthy mood and emotional resilience in young people through inclusive transdisciplinary science. We achieve our mission in research-practice partnership of scientists, youth stakeholders, and communities who care for young people. Partners come together to co-create research and programming that draws upon neuroscience, clinical psychology, human development, education, and lived experience of depression and resilience. We believe in a new paradigm of mental health science achieved by inclusive, transdisciplinary teams making innovative discoveries with significant public health impact in our community and beyond.
