Through his UK based special effects company, Mind Magic Studios, Steve Braund offers a full custom design service for hyper-realistic silicone masks, prosthetics resin masks, rubber cowls and costume parts, and props. He can work with clients each step of the way from design to finished item including initial brainstorming to explore ideas through to sketching, concept art, prototype and finished piece. Steve is particularly known for his hyper-realistic silicone masks and he has built an outstanding reputation for creativity, attention to detail craftmanship and outstanding client service. Mind Magic Studios clients include film, television and theatre productions, haunt / scare attractions, escape rooms, cosplayers, costumers and collectors. We are UK-based but ship worldwide. Steve is also designing a growing range of original off-the-peg masks and props which and are regularly purchased by independent media productions. Steve recently designed and made the lead character creature mask, a humanoid amphibian, for the award-winning horror rom-com feature film Manfish (directed by Marc Coleman), currently screening on Amazon Prime, Sky Store and Vudu. Steve established Mind Magic Studios in 2014 to share his fascination with creatures and masks. Steve has trained with some of Hollywood and the UK's best sculptors at Gorton Studios in England, including completing the prestigious creature sculpting course taught by Don Lanning. Steve's experience on set with media productions and as a costumer himself means that he understands the exacting standards, quality and wearibility that you require. His knowledge of materials and industry-leading production techniques means that the result will always be breathtaking, whether it is his designs or your own.
