Mind & Soul Therapy

Mind & Soul Therapy specializes in the treatment of depression and anxiety disorders. We believe that medications are not the only option, though we respect patients that will want this approach. Our goal is to try to avoid the use of medications by providing complementary and holistic medicine in conjunction with individual and group psychotherapy. We want to help each patient become self-aware of their behaviors and feelings towards their surroundings and interactions with others. By doing so, the patient will transform unhealthy coping skills into healthy and more permanent ones that will help them process any difficult time that they may experience. This can help the individual become self-aware of their internal emotional battles, to be better equipped to confront the stressors that life brings to them and learn to appreciate and enjoy their life to the fullest by feeling balanced and happy with their true self. We treat the "Mind" by providing a combination of individual or group psychotherapy with or without medication management, i.e. Western Medicine. and the "Soul" by using complementary and alternative medicine such as acupuncture, cupping therapy, auricular therapy, yoga, meditation, mindfulness techniques, music/dance therapy, diet, exercise and lifestyle counseling, i.e. Oriental Medicine. Our providers want to make sure that every patient gets the best individualized treatment plan possible. For this reason, there will be a collaboration among all practitioners (psychiatrist, psychologist, therapist, and acupuncturist) where the patient's individual treatment plans will be discussed weekly.
