Mindful Literacy

Education should nurture not only the mind, but also the heart and soul. Every student deserves a safe and supportive learning environment where it’s okay to step outside of one’s comfort zone, make mistakes and learn from them. I invite you to join me on a journey of mindfulness, literacy, and excellence. Through my Write to the Core curriculum, I have taught students to be more focused, self-aware, and perhaps, most importantly, more compassionate with themselves and their peers. This innovative approach combines the core skills of reading and writing with those needed to live a harmonious life.
