Mindin Physical Therapy offers vestibular rehabilitation services for people with dizziness, vertigo, visual disturbance and imbalance. Vestibular Rehabilitation is a specialized form of therapy with its goals to improve balance, prevent falls, alleviate vertigo and dizziness, as well as eliminate secondary symptoms of nausea, vomiting, difficulty with focus and concentration. Symptoms due to vestibular disorders diminish people’s quality of life, contribute to anxiety, depression and lead to sedentary lifestyle. Such lifestyle results in decreased muscle strength and endurance and joint stiffness. After a comprehensive clinical and functional assessment, laboratory testing, review of patient’s history and imaging studies a customized treatment plan is developed by a certified vestibular specialist. The treatment consists of a problem-oriented exercises and/or repositioning maneuvers, patient’s education on diagnosis, home exercise program, safety precautions and techniques.
