The MIT Climate Project is about reimagining what’s possible. Climate change is poised to fundamentally alter natural environments and human systems. It presents a complex, interconnected, and dynamic systems problem. It’s also a generational opportunity to transform how we live and to build a healthy, resilient, and sustainable future for all. The MIT Climate Project represents an ambitious new model of accelerated, university-led innovation. Our purpose: to marshal a critical mass of talent and resources–expertise that cuts across disciplines, industries, capabilities, and perspectives where global progress is urgently needed. The overall goal is to do bigger things faster in the climate domain and work more effectively with our partners to research, develop, deploy, and scale up practical solutions.
