I am John Briggs, and I am grateful that you have taken the first step in considering Made in the Shade of Northern Virginia for your window decorating solutions. I am here to help you achieve your vision for each and every room in your treasured home. My wife, Dana, and I have been happily married for over 20 years, and we have been residents of Prince William County for all of those years. Prior to that, I was born in Arlington, VA, and was raised in Loudoun County, VA. Dana hails from the Garden State of New Jersey; she is a southern New Jersey girl. Between us, we have over 70 years of living and working in Northern Virginia and the Washington Metropolitan area. For many years I worked in the telecommunications industry, in and around the Washington Metropolitan area, enjoying the employment benefits of a growing community. We were able to assist our children through college, and we now reap the benefits of two productive and responsible adult children and three adored grandchildren. While all of that indicates a richly blessed man, through all those working years I always knew there was some other place I wanted to be professionally, something else for me to do. Having a knack for interior architectural home decor and a passion for project work that renders a new and pleasing appearance, I began searching for an opportunity to change the course of my life’s work. That is when I happened upon Made in the Shade and began my journey – a journey that will provide me with an opportunity to better engage and serve my Northern Virginia Community and each of my valued customers, carefully assisting each one of you in the selection of the perfect window covering, leaving you feeling that you do in fact have it “made in the shade.” In closing, I look forward to meeting with you, in the convenience of your home, so that you can view the wide array of options Made in the Shade of Northern Virginia has to offer you.
