The Milwaukee Junior Fire Institute is a program designed for young adults between the ages of 14 and 20 who are interested in a career in fire service. The JFI program meets on the first Saturday of each month and is designed to teach young adults how the fire department works. Students are issued turnout gear, taught about the fire department chain of command, and learn about the SCBA and other firefighting equipment.
