Every year air pollution kills an estimated seven million people worldwide. WHO data shows that 9 out of 10 people breathe air containing high levels of pollutants. As urban air quality has been declining, the risk of lung cancer, asthma, heart disease, stroke, acute and chronic respiratory diseases have been increasing rapidly. Air pollution affects all the areas of the world especially the urban population who is more exposed to small particulate matter (PM2.5) and Nitrous Di Oxide (NOx). Exposure to these harmful particles can lead to major health problems. Airo is on a mission to eradicate air pollution from cities. Improving ambient air involves placing powerful air filters in urban hot-spots of pollution such as busy streets, airports and stations.
