Maple Leaf Education North America is a subsidiary of China Maple Leaf Educational Systems, the international school system in China. The company has worked with the BC Ministry of Education and BC universities for over 25 years making Vancouver the logical choice of location to establish the North American headquarters.
Since its launch in February 2016 Maple Leaf Education North America has established MOUs with Thompson Rivers University (TRU) and Kwantlen Polytechnic University and is introducing a model of placing university preparatory schools on the campus of the host university. The school at TRU is registered as a BC Group 4 Independent School and in its first year of operation has 58 students enrolled in grades 10–12. Students study the BC high school curriculum in the enriched academic environment of the university campus.
Maple Leaf Education North America recruits over 120 BC certified teachers a year on behalf of China Maple Leaf Educational Systems to meet the needs of the growing number of Maple Leaf schools in China and through its subsidiary company Maple Leaf Educational Tours and Services delivers a series of tours and camps to over 1000 young students from China each year.
