Mlinda Charitable Trust (MCT) is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering economic development in India. Currently, our efforts extend across 44 villages in five blocks of Gumla with a primary focus on nurturing clean energy-based microenterprises in both farming and non-farming sectors.
As a part of the Mlinda Group, which comprises Mlinda Foundation CIO and Mlinda Sustainable Environment Private Limited, MCT plays a crucial role in supporting mini-grid operators, facilitating community engagement, forging partnerships, increasing income and monitoring activities for impact assessment.
Our mission is to tackle poverty and combat climate change by promoting sustainable economic development, with clean energy serving as a catalyst for positive transformation. We empower rural communities through various avenues, including clean energy provision, promotion of productive uses of renewable energy, enhancement of market access, facilitation of financial inclusion, and provision of skills training for local entrepreneurs.
