Our mission is to empower women to reclaim control over their hair health and overall well-being.
MMARA was born from our personal struggles with hair loss and a shared frustration with how overlooked women of color are in the hair care and wellness industries. As three Black women co-founders, we’ve all experienced the emotional toll of hair loss—and the dismissive solutions often offered to women like us.
For women, hair is more than appearance; it’s tied to identity and confidence. Yet hair loss solutions are often temporary or harsh, ignoring the root cause. We knew there had to be a better way.
We built MMARA to empower women to take control of their hair and health through personalized routines, expert insights, tools to address the root causes of hair concerns, and most importantly tips for proactive care. We believe hair loss is a symptom—not the whole story. By addressing it holistically, we’re helping women reclaim their confidence, redefine wellness, and show up boldly in every aspect of their lives.
