Moawin Foundation

Founded in 2014, Moawin Foundation (MF) is a nonprofit organization that aims to ensure the quality of education by introducing contemporary pedagogical methodologies, professional development of teachers, and infrastructural development in government and community schools. It also aims to empower the underprivileged and vulnerable segments, particularly, women and the burgeoning youth population of Pakistan to create economic opportunities for them through skill development and vocational training. Since its inception in 2014, MF has adopted 118 schools in different provinces of Pakistan, including Islamabad, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, and Gilgit Baltistan. The enrollment in these schools has reached 30,430 and the organization's interventions have resulted in higher enrollment of out of school children (OOSC), improved quality of education, and employment opportunities through skills development. Moawin Foundation focuses on the professional development of teachers through their capacity building and introducing contemporary teaching methodologies and approaches to improved education such as the integration of E-learning in classrooms, Early Childhood Education (ECE), and blended learning. Considering the significance of Early Childhood Education and Care (ECCE), MF has established ECCE classrooms to promote the early development of children's learning abilities and has provided ECCE-trained teachers in schools. Furthermore, MF has introduced IT programs and E-learning in its schools by providing smart TVs in classrooms equipped with internet connections and access to learning through video content. MF imparts technical and vocational training to girls and boys who require income-generation opportunities. We also work for social welfare, relief, and rehabilitation during emergencies.
