Mobility Benefit Districts (MBDs) are areas where the revenue from car parking fees is allocated to fund mobility services. Residents participate in selecting the services. The concept of MBD is rooted in the Parking Benefit Districts model (Shoup, US).

MBD15 stands for Mobility Benefit Districts, travel and liveability impacts, acceptability and governance of new tools for accelerating transitions in the 15 minutes city. Collaborators on the MBD15 project include KTH, TUB, Goethe University, TUW Wien, Plansinn, and UIV, working in partnership with Wissenschaftsstadt Darmstadt, the City of Vienna, Sundbybergs Stad, Stockholms stad, and Gävle kommun.
