Mobipax produces Lightning Detection devices designed to quickly warn people of lightning danger at outdoor venues. These are rugged devices, with lights and sirens, designed for personal or SmartCity deployment at Schoolyards, water areas, golf courses etc.. They support BACnet and SCADA Smart-City IT protocols for easy integration into municipal and corporate environments, and they communicate with 3rd party weather data providers, like Vaisala and the NASA/NOAA GOES Satellites datastream, to augment the local on-site lightning sensors. How it works: Our on-site Mobipax Lightning Detectors quickly sense lightning and, using our built in sirens and lights, quickly warn people to the presence of lightning danger in the area. Then, our system queries a lightning strike weather data provider to verify the approximate distance to the lightning strike, adjusting the detectors’ output, and BACnet, SCADA and Mobile App data as needed. Combining Big-Data weather with our on-site instant reporting, gives these Mobipax MP Lightning Detectors unparalleled accuracy, safety and distance-redundancy.
