Modern Figures is a podcast that highlights the work of Black women in computing and technology. The podcast is hosted by Dr. Kyla McMullen, an associate professor, in computer and information science and engineering and Dr. Jeremy Waisome, an assistant professor in engineering education.. This unique podcast features conversations with Black women who are making a significant impact in their fields. Through these interviews, the podcast aims to inspire and encourage young Black girls and women to pursue careers in computing and technology. The podcast also highlights the challenges and obstacles that Black women face in these fields, as well as the strategies they have used to overcome them.
