Striving to go beyond the rhythm of fast fashion, we favor slow collections that can be re-worn, reused, or recycled for the next generation to reincarnate. This could potentially close the loop on wasteful manufacturing & help to lessen the overall impact on the environment. The truth is, the struggle to be sustainable is real & our world is stuck in some bad manufacturing habits that need to change. Diving into the overwhelming world of being fully eco-friendly was confusing but a few responsibility courses later & a whole lotta searching for the right suppliers &… we were ready to start creating consciously. Our chiffon hijab for example, started life as 20 plastic bottles. Once sterilized, dried & crushed into small chips, they were heated & spun into strings of yarn. Next, we weave the fiber into polyester fabric & sew our sustainable hijabs! A lengthy, pricey process, yes, but one that we see as non-negotiable. As for the stretchy, lightweight & anti-bacterial fabric of our bamboo jersey, this is made from 100% natural bamboo plant. Organically grown in a chemical-free environment, it’s a 100% sustainable resource that won’t leave a negative impact on the planet. So, you can rest easy knowing every last stitch, right down to the care label in your clothes, is ETHICALLY SOURCED, ECO-FRIENDLY AND MADE FROM SUSTAINABLE MATERIALS.
