Mod Motels was founded in 2022 by siblings Lisa Lennox, Kirk Bonner, and Cathy Bonner, inspired by a shared love of travel, design, and preserving roadside history. Our mission is to breathe new life into once-iconic motels, transforming them into vibrant, design-forward boutique destinations that celebrate local culture and genuine Texas hospitality. We’re proud to announce that Interstate Inn and our on-site restaurant, The Seeker, are now open in Stephenville, Texas — offering a fresh take on midcentury style with bold interiors, thoughtful details, and a guest experience rooted in charm and comfort. Our first location is just the beginning. Construction will soon be underway on future Mod Motels in Fredericksburg and Whitney, Texas, continuing our vision of creating personality-filled getaways in unexpected places.
