Current ACMA legislation requires land lines to be geographically linked to a fixed position so it is not recommended that the mobile phone originating a land line number be "moved" about. That said once the mobile phone is at a "fixed" location the land line number can be used at that location with significant savings and the convenience of having all of your communications in the one device.
