MOME Budapest

The mission of MOME is to provide answers to the pressing challenges of the 21st century with design-based learning, research, and applied mastery. We see our mission as serving our communities, spreading design consciousness and contributing to the sophistication of the local and regional economic and cultural ecosystems. MOME is a university for artists, designers, creators and innovators who are committed to break the mold of mediocrity. We focus on taking a whole person approach via mentoring and creating a value-driven arts and design ecosystem in the CEE (Central and Eastern Europe) region. The Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design (in Hungarian: Moholy-Nagy Művészeti Egyetem, MOME), former Hungarian University of Arts and Design, is located in Budapest, Hungary. Named after László Moholy-Nagy, the university offers programs in art, architecture, designer and visual communication. Our university is maintained by the Foundation for the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design, whose strategic goal is to make MOME the most renowned university in Central Europe by 2030.
