Monadnock Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) is a nonprofit regional development corporation, one of nine in the State of New Hampshire. We specialize in economic development services in New Hampshire's southwest corner. Our primary programs include real estate development, business & nonprofit lending, project development, and technical assistance to municipalities. MEDC proudly serves the 40+ towns in Cheshire County and western Hillsboro County. Since our founding in 1985, MEDC has been involved in the creation of nearly 1M square feet of new construction, over $100M in tax credits and grants leveraged, over $13M in gap funding for business & nonprofit start up and expansion efforts, and over 3,000 employees in the Monadnock Region (12% of the labor force). MEDC actively works with several groups, including governmental bodies of all levels, businesses, entrepreneurs, nonprofits, education institutions, foundations, civic groups, investors, developers, property owners, and anyone else with an interest in growing the Monadnock Region's economy.
