Monarch Communications Limited (Monacom) was incorporated on 2nd January, 1997 as a private telecommunications company licensed by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) to provide telecommunications services. The company started its Commercial Operations as an ISP by providing Private Network Links via VSAT; Pre-paid Cards for DSL and Voice Regional Telephony using Microwave Radios; Voice Mail Service; Sale and Installation of Terminals and other Equipment.
In 2008, Monacom changed its technology platform to Wimax Technology using its 3.5 Ghz frequency to enhance its business away from Narrowband and provision Broadband services.
Currently, Monacom provides Internet, Voice services, VPN and Co-location services through both fixed wired and wireless connectivity. Monacom’s current active locations are Lagos and Abuja.
