Monarch Informatics

Monarch Informatics is a startup dedicated to helping hospital laboratories better utilize their data. Our product, LOLA, eliminates the need for lab technicians to manually analyze data for reporting and decision-making. LOLA presents lab test KPIs like Turnaround Time, Contamination Rate and Positivity Rate in real-time, giving lab managers the necessary visibility to improve their lab’s operations. LOLA was developed in 2021 and is used daily at Kingston General Hospital to eliminate 60+ overtime hours every month. It also helps Lab Directors identify and plan for infectious disease outbreaks, keeping our community safe. Monarch is currently developing LOLA v2, which will have more advanced capabilities like predictive analytics, automated alerting for problematic metrics, and solution recommendations. Monarch Informatics is informed by its co-founder, Dr. Prameet Sheth, Director of Microbiology at KGH, as well as numerous other hospital lab workers, ensuring that LOLA meets the needs of laboratories across the continent.
