The Grab: RealSpeaker allows instant transcription of audio and video files. We allow content owners in SMEs to make their media content accessible and searchable and allowing them to bring this content to their users. The Problem: Manually transcribing 1-hour interview to text transcriptionists typically takes 3-hours and can cost up to €60. This makes it inaccessible to companies generating large amounts of media; such as Telco’s who record customer interactions, media companies who generate significant content or marketers and researchers who do large amounts of customer interviews. Most automated systems while cheap, have severe limitations such as: inaccuracy due to background noise and difficulty recognizing accents and dialects. Commercial natural language systems also only understand short commands, not long conversations making them impractical for most companies to adopt at scale. The Solution: RealSpeaker’s AI-based multi-lingual transcription platform the ability to machine transcribe any kind of audio/video files, even where multiple speakers with different accents are present. Our web-platform can split audio files into small segments for rapid transcription, and recombine to form an accurate transcription in seconds. We have a live beta, demonstrating the technology and the market need and are actively developing our full product which will include an interface that will mine the information and insight from this content and make it searchable to the content owner. The Opportunity: We are targeting content owners in medium sized telecoms, media companies and universities who have huge amounts of valuable data and content tied up in media files that are not searchable. Competitive Advantage: RealSpeaker uses deep learning technology to automatically transcribe media files in any format and unlike our competitors do not restrict file length. We will develop our technology to meet the needs of our very specific user base, unlike our generic competitors.
