BACKGROUND
Moneytree Group (Pty) Ltd was founded by three students who met while studying Finance at the University of Cape Town. They had identified deeply rooted issues excluding people from taking advantage of opportunities, and came together to start a business with a focussed on financial inclusion. They formed programs targeted at young people such as “Student Investor” which educates high school and university students about managing their money responsibly, and hosts some of the most popular events on campuses each year, reaching tens of thousands of students. MoneyTree Group continues to build a world that is economically inclusive; and has interests in technology, agriculture, and youth development as vehicles to achieve this vision.
