Monigraf is an Italian company that designs and manufactures remote ink control systems for virtually any “open fountain” press application. We have serviced the European Community for over 40 years from our home office and manufacturing facility in Torino, Italy and the Far East for the past ten (14) years from our manufacturing facility in Beijing, China. Early in 2009, we opened an office in Schaumburg, IL (Chicago area) to address the North American market. The Monigraf MDS-II system is an individual ink key segment system driven by a highly accurate, digital control offering ink key position accuracy of 0.25 microns (0.00001”). Additionally, Monigraf offers a CIP-3 compliant automatic ink preset system called, PreMDS. As a result of this unequalled level of accuracy with the MDS-II system and CIP-3 ink preset functionality with PreMDS, make-ready waste is reduced to a minimum (typically by 30%-40%) and due to the structural integrity of the ink fountain cassette, less color variation is achieved throughout the run.
