A Canadian BC owned business, competing aggressively in the fast paced office products industry. 1994 - Monk purchases 6 retail stores from Murphy Stationers (Corporate Express) on Vancouver Island, BC, bringing the number of Vancouver Island locations to 13. 1995 - Monk joins the Basics Office Group, as a buying member. This alliance gives Monk the collective purchasing power of Canada's most successful independent office products dealers. 1996 - Monk was the first Office Products dealer to be ISO 9002 certified in Canada.
