Established in 2021 by Mark & Lysiane Montefiore, The Montefiore Foundation is committed to improving the quality of life of Canadians and Canadian communities. The Foundation supports projects related to health care, environmental and social services, Indigenous initiatives, arts and culture. To date, the Montefiore Foundation, in association with New Metric Media has supported various projects within Canada including a donation to the City of Sudbury of an outdoor gym to promote physical health as well as donations to Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto, Indian Residential School Survivors Society, Whistler Film Festival and the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television and WIFT-T.
