Moonshot Ventures is an impact VC firm, with a mission to address some of the most pressing development issues in Southeast Asia, through investing in and supporting innovative solutions and purpose-driven entrepreneurs.
Moonshot partners with domain leaders from across sectors to manage funds that focus on specific development themes. In 2020, Moonshot launched the Indonesia Women Empowerment Fund (IWEF), in partnership with YCAB Foundation, a leading advocate and capital provider to women entrepreneurs in Indonesia, and supported by Investing in Women and the Australian Government. IWEF invests in disruptive tech solutions, which are led by gender-balanced startup teams, and which address barriers to women’s livelihoods.
Part of Moonshot’s mission is also to help expand the sector of impact investing, through innovative strategies and approaches that will draw more diverse talent and investors to investing with purpose.
