More4nature

At more4nature, we believe in transforming conservation efforts by making citizens an integral part of the solution. Our project, led by IHE Delft, unites 21 partner organizations spanning Europe, Latin America, Africa, and Asia. Together, we embark on a four-year journey, leveraging Citizen Science to combat widespread environmental degradation. 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲: More4nature's mission is to drive transformative change in zero pollution, biodiversity protection, and deforestation prevention. We champion collaborative environmental compliance assurance, positioning citizens and communities as key stakeholders in this vital endeavour. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐦: Despite existing environmental policies, degradation persists globally. More4nature identifies gaps in data, awareness, and action, hindering compliance assurance efforts. We aim to bridge these voids through inclusive, community-driven solutions. 𝐀𝐢𝐦𝐬: We recognize the need for a paradigm shift in environmental compliance assurance. More4nature adopts a socio-technical approach, overcoming challenges faced by citizens and communities, empowering them to play a pivotal role in safeguarding the environment. 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞4𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞: More4nature focuses on enhancing Citizen Science Initiatives (CSIs). Our strategy involves strengthening their capacity, fostering collaboration, and developing tools for data validation. By supporting CSIs, we aim to fill data gaps, shape policy frameworks, and reinforce the importance of environmental compliance.
