The Morgante Winery is located in Grotte, it represents one family's initiative to employ five generations of viticultural experience.
The family manages 200 hectares among arable, vineyards and almond trees in a hilly region located approximately 350 - 500 meters above the sea level. The territory is ideal for viticulture with a Mediterranean climate and soil that ranges from clay to calcareous and marny.
In 1989, the Morgante decided to vinify their own grapes.
In 1997, with Riccardo Cotarella the Morgante family found a common desire to continue their research into producing great red wines from Nero D'Avola.
