Morigenos – Slovenian Marine Mammal Society is an independent and non-profit professional non-governmental organisation founded in 2001 to study and explore dolphins in the Slovenian sea and to raise awareness and educate the public. The primary focus of the society revolves around the Slovenian Dolphin Project, a comprehensive program dedicated to the long-term research, monitoring, and protection of the Bottlenose Dolphin species (Tursiops truncatus) in the northern Adriatic region. This is the first long-term and systematic dolphin research in Slovenia.
