Morisco

We honor the legacy of the Moriscos—the noble victims of religious persecution in medieval Spain. Despite being forced to publicly convert, they resisted oppression and continued to practice Islam in secret for many generations. Moriscos were brave in the face of tyranny, determined even against hopeless odds, and unable to be silenced, as the Spanish Inquisition led to entire communities being expelled and countless individuals being tortured and murdered. We hope to be able to embody the Morisco spirit as we help you make your mark on the world.
