MLE was established in 1976 to provide specialist design & manufacturing services for 12kV – 145kV overhead line disconnectors & switches.
Headquartered in the UK with a Middle East Factory in Dubai, MLE has a reputation for outstanding product design and quality.
MLE is the preferred supplier to electricity distribution authorities, oil & gas and rail electrification companies across the UK, Ireland, Middle & Far East, Caribbean and Africa. Our products have been exported to 70 countries.
In 2017 the low voltage manufacturing division of JW Morris, with 60 years’ experience in the design and manufacture of 415V switchgear, control panels and MV/LV packaged substations was rebranded as MLE.
From conceptual design we work with our clients through design development, testing, product optimisation, manufacturing, installation, commissioning, maintenance and technical support.
Equipment manufactured by MLE is used by electricity companies, oil and gas companies and rail electrification schemes throughout the UK and Ireland in addition to extensive exports to the Middle and Far East and Africa.
The voltage range of the equipment is 750V to 145kV with current ratings up to 4,000A, short time fault currents up to 120kA and fault make currents up to 25kA.
The high quality of the products manufactured is ensured by :
• In house design and development of new products.
• All products designed to comply with the relevant British and International standards.
• The entire manufacturing process from initial product design to final test, and if necessary, installation is carried out by fully trained MLE personnel.
• The whole manufacturing and assembly process is controlled by a purpose designed computerised system.
• All final products undergo inspection and testing procedures in accordance with relevant international standards.
