About Morro Coast Audubon Society
Morro Coast Audubon Society (MCAS) was founded in 1966 to promote the appreciation, conservation, and restoration of ecosystems, focusing on the biological diversity of birds, other wildlife, and their habitats, particularly in San Luis Obispo County, California. We actively engage in advocacy, education, and conservation of the environment of the Central Coast. MCAS is an independent nonprofit organization with its own membership, budget, and programs. While we are a chapter of the National Audubon Society becoming a member of MCAS is distinct from membership in the National Audubon Society. MCAS members receive exclusive access to the Flyway newsletter, MCAS members-only field trips, and directly promote the protection of birds and their habitats on the Central Coast.
