Mosaïque: Research Network for Studies in Literacy, Discourse, and Society

Mosaïque is a research network dedicated to the study of literacy, discourse, and society. Situated within the Department of Integrated Studies in Education (DISE) at McGill University, our membership encompasses researchers from various institutions who are interested in studying language and literacy education. This interest is particularly focused on societal discourses about literacy, relations of power between language users, and sociomaterial contexts of languaging, reading, and text-generation. At Mosaïque, we embrace a multitude of viewpoints, fostering a blend of perspectives that form an intricate mosaic of insights into linguistic and literate engagement. Our collaborative platform serves as a hub for the exchange of ideas, facilitating discussions among our members and those who share an affinity for Mosaïque’s areas of interest.
