Semiconductor Technology & Chip Design Program: 1. Launchpad: Though this module is not mandatory, This introductory module sets the foundation for your journey in STCD program. This is Delivered entirely online, the module provides: An overview of the lifecycle of ICs, from design to obsolescence. Insights into current industry landscapes and the roles of ICDT companies. Sample classes covering key topics like digital design, analog design, and CMOS flow. 2. Foundation: Students will cover the core aspects of chip design and technology this semester through five key courses. The focus is on essential topics required to build a solid foundation in VLSI design. Courses include: Circuit Analysis: Dive deep into analyzing circuits critical to IC design. Hardware Description Languages (HDL): Learn the languages used to describe the behaviour of electronic circuits. Design Verification: Ensure that designs function correctly through comprehensive testing. CMOS Processing: Study the fabrication techniques of CMOS technology. IC Measurements Lab: Gain practical lab experience, accessible online, to make precise measurements. 3. Specialization: Students can choose to specialize in one of several key areas of Chip design. Along with coursework, they will undertake a mini-project worth six credits, offering hands-on experience in their chosen field.
