Insights into current industry landscapes and the roles of ICDT companies.
Sample classes covering key topics like digital design, analog design, and CMOS flow.
2. Foundation:
Students will cover the core aspects of chip design and technology this semester through five key courses. The focus is on essential topics required to build a solid foundation in VLSI design.
Courses include:
Circuit Analysis: Dive deep into analyzing circuits critical to IC design.
Hardware Description Languages (HDL): Learn the languages used to describe the behaviour of electronic circuits.
Design Verification: Ensure that designs function correctly through comprehensive testing.
CMOS Processing: Study the fabrication techniques of CMOS technology.
IC Measurements Lab: Gain practical lab experience, accessible online, to make precise measurements.
3. Specialization:
Students can choose to specialize in one of several key areas of Chip design. Along with coursework, they will undertake a mini-project worth six credits, offering hands-on experience in their chosen field.
