Mo’s Universe Restaurant Group is a privately-held collection of restaurants located in the heart of Hillcrest, San Diego that primarily caters to the LGBTQ community. Opened in 1992 as Hamburger Mary’s, Mo’s Universe Group now operates five unique restaurants with over 250 employees. From mouthwatering stylized burgers at Urban Mo’s, Sunday brunch at Gossip Grill, Southern California’s only lesbian bar and restaurant, and handcrafted beer at Hillcrest Brewing Company, the world’s first gay brewery, each restaurant offers a unique variety of food, entertainment and ambiance that creates extraordinary experiences for our guests. Mo’s Universe philosophy has remained the same for 25 years: to provide individualized guest-focused service and respectful hospitality. Primary dedicated to the LGBTQ community, Mo’s Universe prides itself with opening its doors to all who are allies.
