Originally founded in 1988 by SpeedFair Co., Ltd. and now listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange (300341) For more than three decades, Motic has been specialising in manufacturing conventional compound and digital microscopes. With over 2500 employees, the company has regional offices in United States, Canada, Spain, Germany and manufacturing plants in China. In 1996, Motic established its first manufacturing plants in Xiamen, China. Motic Xiamen also consist of an established R&D center housing over 100 professional engineers and technicians covering optical, mechanical, industrial, electronics and software designs. Other manufacturing centers are located in Chengdu and Guiyang. In early 1998, Motic began to explore and develop the manufacture of digital microscopy solutions, digital imaging products and application software. This successful transition marked a milestone for the company turning Motic into one of the leading brand names in digital microscopy. Motic is ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO13485 certified.
