Founded in 2014 by award-winning cameraman Rob Drewett & remote-control expert Andy Nancollis, MI has transformed how film, TV & live broadcasts are captured. What started as a passion project between two industry insiders has now evolved into a global leader of camera movement & stabilisation.
The journey began with M-Series, a fully stabilised, remote-controlled dolly system. Initially embraced by the VR/360-degree filmmaking world, it allowed creators to move cameras through spaces in ways previously impossible – offering smoother & more precise control. But innovation rarely stops at one breakthrough. In 2019, AGITO became the world’s first modular, remote-controlled dolly system, built to work just as effortlessly on a studio track as it does across off-road terrain. It has since been used on many projects, from Planet Earth II to Chanel runway shoots, UEFA Champion’s League Finals & feature films like Marinette.
Building on this success, MI has continued to enhance & expand the AGITO range. The latest evolution, AGITO Gen 2 offers improved control, smarter connectivity, sharper processing & increased flexibility – making it the most advanced system in its class. For DOPs demanding even great control over their shots, there’s AGITO Cine – a dedicated system for feature films & HETV filmmaking. Taking innovation further, the company introduced MagTrax, a magnetic tracking system that allows AGITO to follow a hidden path with absolute precision. Ideal for studio environments & live broadcasts, MagTrax removes the need for visible tracks, enabling complex camera moves while keeping sets clean and unobstructed.
