Why “Motion Paradox”? We chose this name having repeatedly witnessed start-ups, scale-ups, growing SME’s, and even large multinational corporations fall prey to their own success. It happens regardless of industry or geographic location. Founders begin with an excellent idea, which, when taken to market, immediately attracts customers and funding, which is amazing! Soon, the race is on not only to be first to market but also to scale quickly in order to outpace potential competitors. Within this context, however, growth frequently occurs exponentially and opportunistically, without structure and organisation. Inevitably, a certain critical juncture is reached where growth becomes static, scaling untenable and capital fundraising difficult, because, without structure and governance, an already successful company cannot easily and effectively continue to move forward and transform. This is the “motion paradox”.
