MOTUS Robotics

MOTUS Robotics develops robotic-based O&M applications, with a special focus on improving mobile robotic systems through innovations in AI-driven perception, cognition, and decision-making. Its primary mission is to deploy autonomous solutions for the inspection and maintenance of critical infrastructures, especially in challenging environments: 1) Aerial Robotics (UAVs): drones equipped with AI and sensors for inspecting high-altitude structures like wind turbines and powerlines. 2) Surface Robotics (USVs): autonomous surface vehicles designed to monitor and maintain assets such as floating platforms or coastal installations. 3) Underwater Robotics (AUVs and ROVs): robots for subsea operations like inspecting pipelines, anchors, and mooring lines. The lab specializes in machine learning and computer vision techniques and develops mobile robots capable of functioning in harsh conditions, including extreme weather, turbulent seas, and complex industrial setups.
