Mouse Island Creatives is a New England based Wedding, Engagement & Event Photography Studio.
Our Wedding Photography studio has created a photojournalistic style that captures your moments unobtrusively. The founding partners, Shawn & Rowena McPherson, incorporate their own unique creative talents into the final delivered product.
Rowena's approach to photography draws on her decades of experience in graphic design and in creating fine-art images in multi-mixed mediums. She captures images as she would paint them, and quite often after she has captured an image that moves her, she will do just that. You can view a small collection of the images she has painted or hand-drawn from reference photos on our websites. These works of art reflect the world as she sees it, through the eyes of an artist.
Shawn is a full-time photographer & author who balances his time between crafting stories written covertly under pseudonyms or ghostwriting novels for other authors with documenting life moments behind the camera. He sees things cinematically and it was while attending film school that he fell in love with capturing still images.
The combined talents of the artist and the author result in a creative style that is infused with their passions and visions. Clean, crisp, colourful, fun, romantic, emotional, and uniquely artistic are some of the things our clients have said when describing the work of Mouse Island Photography.
