About MOVE the Valley
MOVE (Mobilize. Organize. Vote. Empower) the Valley is a coalition of civic engagement organizations that was formerly known as the Fresno County Civic Engagement Table. MOVE the Valley's mission is to be a partner in ending the profitability of white supremacy, amplifying the electoral voices of the community, and building regional political infrastructures. MOVE the Valley strives to create long-term social change through regional power building. MOVE the Valley is the largest multilingual civic engagement coalition actively running coordinated voter engagement campaigns across the San Joaquin Valley into Sacramento. The coalition’s collective strength is running year-round multilingual civic engagement programs that engage Black, Latino, Latinx, Asian, Punjabi Sikh and Indigenous voters. In addition, by conducting its own statistically representative polling and focus group research, MOVE the Valley is able to center those who are disenfranchised by tailoring its voter engagement and issues advocacy efforts to the priorities those community members value. MOVE the Valley further leverages its collective survey and voter engagement programs by hosting online forums and community town halls, engaging with local elected leaders to enact public policy to further social, racial, and economic justice.
