MPA Engineering Ltd. began operations in late 1996 to provide engineering services covering a wide range of bridge and bridge culvert projects. MPA Engineering has been pre-qualified by Alberta Transportation to provide bridge related engineering services in all their associated technical categories. This includes bridge inspection, assessments, planning, preliminary engineering, detailed design, tender preparation and construction supervision for site specific installations. MPA Engineering also provides planning services for various clients to develop short and long term capital and maintenance programs.
In addition to bridge and culvert projects, water resource projects have also been completed for several Alberta municipalities with grant funding from Alberta Environment. These projects include flood control, erosion control, surface drainage improvements and/or structure rehabilitation.
MPA Engineering has been awarded two of four provincial bridge inspection contracts by Alberta Transportation. These multi-year contracts cover the provision of bridge inspection services for all bridge structures on the primary highway and secondary highway system within the four provincial regions. The contract also includes inspection services for all major bridges on the local road network. MPA Engineering currently has one of the largest certified bridge inspection staff in the province.
