Our Legacy: Established in 1970, the Mornington Peninsula Junior Football League (MPJFL) began with the vision of five pioneering clubs; Beleura, Crib Point, Mount Martha, and South Mornington. For over half a century, we have stood as a beacon for organized junior football in the region. Not just a league, but a community institution, the MPJFL has proudly played a significant role in shaping the very fabric of the Mornington Peninsula community. Over the years, we've been the springboard for numerous players, with some achieving the pinnacle of being drafted into the AFL system, including recent #1 draft picks, Lachlan Whitfield and Jacob Weitering. Today's Landscape: As of 2023, the MPJFL stands strong as an independent country football league, proudly hosting 14 clubs with 132 teams, ranging from Under 9s to Under 17s. Our commitment to the future is evident through our robust female football program, and we're dedicated to fostering its growth. With our operations now based out of a modern office in Hastings and the state-of-the-art Bluescope Recreation Oval – thanks to our partnership with Bluescope Steel – we've expanded beyond just games. Our interleague program, represented by the 'Steelers', further cements our place in the football community.
