Madras School of Economics was founded in 1993 as a post-graduate institution for teaching and research in economics and PGDM also offering Ph.D. programme. MSE offers a two-year Master’s program in General Economics, Financial Economics, Applied Quantitative Finance, Actuarial Economics and Environmental economics and also offers a two year Master's program PGDM with two specializations Financial Engineering, Research and Business Analytics being affiliated to the Central University of Tamil Nadu. MSE fosters a curriculum and culture whose sole purpose is to create socially responsible managers and emotionally mature leaders. Apart from conventional classroom setup, MSE lays emphasis on practical learning where students take part in case studies, seminars, research projects, live projects, prominent speaker lectures, etc. nurtured by renowned academicians and industrial experts of our country. MSE is an institute of special importance helping students to gain vital exposure that would help them to work in challenging markets and environments. Our student body consists of people with multidimensional backgrounds and are from different parts of our country. They are all equally equipped with requisite skill sets which would match with the industry expectations. Thus the curriculum for each academic year is being revised with proper supervision and analysis of our growing corporate needs. MSE is a place of budding young talents who make meaningful contributions to society.
